Working manifesto

Keep what makes us human.

We produce more records of our lives than any generation before us, but preserve surprisingly little meaning.

KindHuman exists to keep the human context that disappears between files.

A photograph is not only pixels.

A voice note is not only audio.

A person is not a contact.

A belief is not timeless.

A life is not a feed.

AI can help us organise, connect, retrieve, and notice — but meaning still belongs to us.

KindHuman helps people preserve not only what happened, but who they were becoming.

Principles we protect

  1. 01Human meaning over machine interpretation.
  2. 02Capture first, structure later.
  3. 03Original artifacts are immutable evidence.
  4. 04Views, not folders.
  5. 05Relationships are first-class memory objects.
  6. 06The self is versioned, not overwritten.
  7. 07AI uncertainty must remain visible.
  8. 08Reflection should be sparse and earned.
  9. 09Private by default.
  10. 10Resurfacing needs a reason.
  11. 11No engagement mechanics that cheapen memory.
  12. 12Dogfood before scaling.
  13. 13Experience first, architecture second, feature count last.
  14. 14Technology should disappear when the emotional moment arrives.

What KindHuman should not become

  • generic note-taking
  • a personal CRM
  • a task manager
  • a social feed
  • infinite AI summaries
  • “second brain” productivity language
  • gamified journaling
  • vanity life analytics
  • synthetic nostalgia
  • AI-generated autobiographies without provenance
  • a digital immortality gimmick

Where we are today

The product you can use now is deliberately small: your own words, a proposed value or chapter you can keep or edit, and a private living page you return to on your rhythm. Photos, public pages and family archives are later chapters of this plan, not promises about today.
